Would You Rather Weds?

Hello Lovelies!

Today is Wednesday which brings another addition of would you rather.

Here are your questions this week.

Would you rather…

be really hot all the time or super cold?

… spend an hour talking to J.K Rowling or an hour with Daniel Radcliffe

… Would you rather fly on Air Force One with the president or have a minor reoccurring role on a popular television show?

My answers:

I would rather be super cold all the time. At least being cold, it’s ok to add layers to try and warm up.

I would rather talk to J.K. Rowling. There are so many questions I would like answered about the series. Plus it would be amazing to pick her brain about all her books.

I would rather fly on Air Force One with the president. This could have to do with the political science nerd in me.

What would you rather do?

If you do a what would you rather post, leave the link below and I will check it out.

Top 10 Tuesday: Things I’m thankful for

Top Ten is a weekly meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a different prompt.

Hello  lovelies!

With Thanksgiving in a few short days, it’s time to come up with this week’s prompt:

Top 10 Things that I’m thankful for (bookish or not)

1. My husband:

We’ve been together for 7 years (married 2) and he still amazes me. Every day I’m learning more and more about him. He is my rock when I need it, my biggest supporter, and sometime my biggest critic.

2. My Family:

Without our families we wouldn’t be the couple who we are today.

3. My job:

I’m so thankful to have a job. A place where I can learn and grow both personally and professionally.

4. My house:

This is a place that I can call my own. We own it. If something is wrong we have to fix it. After years of renting, I’m so thankful that I have a place where I can do whatever I want and not feel bad.

5. The world of Harry Potter:

I’m still waiting for my letter to Hogwarts. Who cares if I too old. My childhood was centered around this world.

6. My blog:

It may be only a month old but it has been my escape. I’m thankful for the opportunity to tell my ramblings to everyone.

7. Books:

I was always the kid caught reading under their blankets instead of sleeping. Books are a great escape from reality.

8. Soccer:

Soccer has given me so many opportunities. I’ve met some amazing people through soccer (ie Husband). Without the chance to play, ref or coach I wouldn’t be who I am today.

9. My friends:

They are the people who make you laugh, cry and get your drink on with. They are the best people in my life.

10. My kindle:

Easiest way to get books in a flash. I have endless amounts of books at the touch of my finger tips.

What are you thankful for?

Time to Celebrate! Weekend Shenanigans

Sami's ShenanigansLinking up with Sami’s Shenanigans

Hello lovelies!

Sorry that I’ve been MIA.¬†Life is starting¬†to get crazy.

Overall my weekend was about getting ready for Thanksgiving. However, there were a few finer (non-thanksgiving) related events that occurred.

Here they are.

{one}

This was a weekend of celebration. My husband passed the last¬†test of the CPA exam. He is one class away from becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). This is a huge accomplishment. He has been working for this license for the last couple of years or so. For it to finally be over seems so unreal. I’m so proud of him. We spent most of the weekend celebrating with friends.

{two}

I finally gave in and put up our holiday lights this weekend. I looked at the weather report and this last weekend was the best time as it is suppose to rain for the unforeseen future. Besides, now it’s all dressed up for Thanksgiving when everyone comes over.

{three}

I did it. I finally cleaned out my closet. I end up with a huge garbage bag full of clothes to give away. A friend of mine was doing a clothes drive for her school so I donated them to help her out.

{four}

I finished my holiday shopping. This year I did most of it online. I discovered the glory of ebates.com. You get cash back for all qualified purchases. If you haven’t tried it, here is a link to give it a shot. http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=sfqm3lzcFDJxh5FyGzC39A%3D%3D

5 on Friday- 5 most played songs

Hello Lovelies!

Friday is here.

This week’s 5 on Friday is going to be a little different since there is nothing too exciting going on in my life. I decided to do the 5 most played songs in my car this week.

{one}

The Monster ft Rihanna by Eminem

Normally I’m not an Eminem fan but this song is catching. The reason I started listening to it was for the shout out to Russell Wilson but in turn I actually like it. Whenever I’m stuck in traffic (which is almost every morning) I blast this song on the radio and rap my little heart out. It makes the traffic a tiny bit¬†more bearable.

{two}

Marry Me by Jason Derulo

Again, Jason Derulo is someone I don’t normally don’t like listen to but¬†this song came on to the radio and the¬†rest is history. The lyrics make this a great love song.

{three}

Love Will Remember by Selena Gomez

I heard this song first when I saw her in concert a little bit ago. The thing that I like about this song is the real emotion behind it. Whenever I hear it, I think back to her performing it. I need to find the video I have of it.

{four}

Double Rainbow by Katy Perry

This is a song off her latest album and I’m OBESSED with it. Obsessed might be too weak of a word. This is literally the first song I listen to when I get in the car, whenever I have no idea what song to play, and the last song before I get out of the car. When you find¬†THE song, you never want to lost it again. It’slike finding the one you are going to marry.

{five}

Timber ft Ke$ha by Pitbull

This song came onto a Pandora station I was listening to. Since then it’s my go-to dance song. Whenever I feel like busting a move in my car, I play this one.

What are your favorites? I like listening to knew music.

Thursday Thoughts

I’m linking up with Jen from Ramblings of a Suburban mom

I don’t have too much going on today. Mainly work stuff but I will spare you the details of that.

– I signed up to do the 12 days of Christmas swap with the Chaotic Goddess Swaps and I’m pretty excited. I’ve never done anything like this so we will see how it goes.

РMy husband woke up singing Selena Gomez to me this morning.  He is a keeper for sure.

– It was so cold this morning that I had to wait an extra 10 minutes for my car to defrost. How is it so cold and yet it still didn’t snow.

– Thanksgiving is next week and we are almost ready! Plus I only have a 2.5 work week.

What are your thoughts this Thursday?

Would you rather Weds?

Hello lovelies!

It’s Weds, which means another edition of would you rather!

Would you rather…

… Live in a treehouse or a floating boathouse

… Live in a zoo or an amusement park.

… See the future or change the past

… have a rewind button or a pause button in your life

… be famous or be best friends with someone famous

My answers:

I would rather live in a floating boathouse. In a boathouse, I would be able to move around if I wanted to. I wouldn’t be stuck in the same place.

I would rather live in a zoo. I would be among the animals. Besides, I don’t like roller-coasters.

I would rather see the future. The past is the past and you shouldn’t get the chance to change it. It’s time to move on and see what the future holds for you.

I would rather have a pause button. There are moments in my life where I wish I could pause time just to make them last longer.

I would rather be best friends with someone famous. You would still get most of the perks of being famous but you get to live your own life.

Let me know what your answers are down below.

Have a great day!

A weekend of lessons

Sami's Shenanigans

¬†(linking up with Sami’s Shenanigans)

Hello Lovelies!

This past weekend wasn’t one to write to your parents. However, there were a¬†three important¬†life lessons I did learn this weekend.

{One}

Nothing gets you motivated to clean/organize your house like finding out someone will be staying with you soon.

I don’t know about most men, but my husband likes to tell¬†me about stuff right before it is about to happen. For example, a conversation like this¬†, happens way too often in our house.

Him: “By the way, so-so is coming over later. I forgot to tell you last week when we scheduled it.”

Me: “When?

Him: “He is on his way now. He will be here in about 10 minutes or so.”

Me: “Are you kdding me, I’m not dressed and the house is a mess. Why didn’t you tell me before?”

Him: “I forgot”

Ugh. Men sometime. This leads me to my first lesson, your house gets organized faster when you realize that someone is coming to stay the night. A friend of ours from college works on a cruise ship and gets random time off. She is getting a couple of days off this week and contacted my husband about staying the night. Sometime this weekend, he decided to tell him she was coming sometime this week. We got our butts in gear, cleaned the whole house, and unpacked the guest room. After 7+ years together, you would think our friends would know not to contact my husband. But hey, what can you do?

{Two}

Never go to Trader Joe’s hungry.

Going to any store hungry should never be a good idea. I spend way too much money on food I will never eat. Yet, I still haven’t learned. I was on my way home from a soccer game when I noticed I was passing a Trader Joes. My husband loves TJs and he’s really said that the closet one is about 20-30 minutes away from the house.¬†Being the nice wife¬†that I am, I called him to see if he wanted anything. Of course he did.¬†Juice and hummus. After about a half-hour I left with juice, pita, yogurt, hummus, cookies, and a variety of other stuff that I probably won’t eat. Moral of the story, never go to the store hungry. Maybe some day I will learn.

{Three}

Michael Buble can sing to me any day.

Is there even a need to explain this? Friday, I attended Michael Buble’s concert and I was thoroughly impressed. His voice is amazing and so soothing. He can sing to me any day. The only downside to the concert was waiting for our food for over an hour and was almost late to the main show. I can’t wait to play his Christmas CD on repeat soon!

5 on Friday

Grab button for FIVE ON FRIDAY AT THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

I’m linking up with a. liz adventures.

Friday is here. Did you ever think this day would get here? Me either!

{one}

This weekend, I will get my house clean and organized. Starting with the closet and ending with the fridge to be Thanksgiving ready.

{two}

Two concerts in one week, yes please! Tuesday night,¬†we went to Selena Gomez and tonight Michael Buble. It’s going to be a great way to get my weekend started.

{three}

Black Friday is coming. Personally, I feel that society is more excited for Black Friday than Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time to get together with family, eat great¬†food, and watch football. It shouldn’t be rushed so you can spend less time together and more time at the mall. Walmart and a couple of other stores are¬†opening their doors at 6PM on THURSDAY. There is so much wrong with that. Their employees are giving up time with their family in order to cater to other people’s needs and complaints. I worked at Target when I was in college so I feel their pain during this day. When did society start caring more about people spending money on things than actual togetherness with family? ¬†I don’t know about you but I’m not ending my thanksgiving early to go to Walmart to get the hottest deals.

{four}

To better ourselves financially, my husband and I are cutting back on our spending. We know we couldn’t do a no-spend month right off the bat instead we are trying to limit our spending for eating out and non important things. We took a look at our credit card statements¬†and realize a majority of our money is spent on eating out. We’re challenging ourselves to spend only $20 a week on eating out. I’m not saying we are in a bad spot but it’s nice to have the extra money.

{five}

I really don’t have anything else so I will leave you with a joke.

What do potatoes hate the most?

Fry-Day

Have a great Friday and weekend!
