Weekly Wishes #10- April Goals

Hello Lovelies!

Welcome to the month of April.

Can you believe 2014 is already a fourth of the way done?

April is a great month since tax season is over and I get my husband back. It’s the little things in life, right?

Here are this month’s goals:

Spend time with my husband: Since he’s a CPA, the first few months are so busy for him. There are times where he doesn’t come home until I’m off in dream land. Since April 15th is the tax deadline, it means he gets his life back! AKA spend more time with me and the pup.

Get the house summer ready: This will be our first summer in the house. I’m so excited to see what it’s like around our neighborhood. We have some work to do to get it ready for the summer.

Last Month’s Goals:

Read 2 books: I read three (maybe four) books last month. I blame the rainy weather.

Lose 5 pounds: I’m so close. I lost three pounds.

What are your goals for the next month?

Swaps

Hello Lovelies!

This month I participated in two blog swaps.

The first one is Love in a box with Kim and Megan.

Each month you are partnered with someone different.

This month I was partered with Carlita.

I had such a great time getting to know her.

box

As you can tell she sent me some amazing things.

She created a CD with some EDM music for me to listen to. I’ve been playing it non-stop in my car.

Everyone should check her out.

Mug O' Comfort Swap

The second swap was with the lovely ladies at Chaotic Goddess Swaps.

I love participating in their blogs.

For this one we received mugs filled with some of our favorite products.

tea

I was partnered with Vandy from The Testosterone Three.

I loved getting to know her.

She sent me a couple things of chai and a tension tamer tea.

She also sent me a to-go mug which will be great for my commute to work.

Until next time,

Jennifer

Would You Rather

Hello Lovelies!

It’s Wednesday which means Would You Rather!

For those of you that are new, let me explain to you this game.

Each week we are given a series of questions. The questions are either/or type questions. You need to pick which one you would rather.

Simple huh?

This Week’s Questions

Would you rather…

…go on vacation any where in the world for on week or spend 24 hours with anyone in the world but be unable to leave your house during that time?

… be unable to see for one day or unable to use your phone for one month?

… be a giant hamster or a tiny rhino?

My Answers:

I would rather go on a vacation for a week. A week is a good time to relax.

I would rather not be able to use my phone for a month.

I would rather be a giant hamster. It would be awesome to be a giant anything.

Next Week’s Question:

If next week, it’s your turn. Come up with a would you rather by Monday Night and we will discuss it. I’m excited to see what you come up with!

Have a great rest of your week!

Weekly Wishes #9

Hello Lovelies!

How was everyone’s weekend?

I saw Divergent this weekend. Honestly, I wasn’t that impressed with it. I loved the book but was disappointed in the movie.

Now it’s time for another addition of weekly wishes.

Weekly Wishes is a place for hopes/dreams/goals/ideas for the upcoming week.

This Week’s Wishes:

{One}

Read: I’m about three books behind on my 2014 reading challenge (52 books in the year). I have so many books waiting on my To-Be-Read list that I need to get cracking on it.

{Two}

Get my husband’s birthday presents: Thursday is my husband’s birthday and I have no idea what to get him. I think I’m going to make him a nice dinner and figure out his gift later.

Last Week’s Wishes:

Organize /Purge all my jewelry and accessories: I started to get everything organized then I got busy with other stuff.

Get a new pair of (nice) sunglasses: Done! I got a nice-ish pair from Target.

Cut back on energy drinks: Epic fail. However, I’m drinking more water to make up for the energy drink. That has to be good right?

Friday Letters

Hello Lovelies!

Happy Friday!

Dear Divergent: I can’t wait to see you this weekend! I haven’t been this excited to see a move in theatres since Twilight. I would have seen you at Midnight last night but I need sleep.

Dear Sun: Thank you so much for making an appearance today. It has been way too long. Hopefully this is the start of a beautiful friendship.

Dear Mail Lady: I promise I’m not doing anything illegal. The plain white package I keep getting are products of my online shopping addiction.

Dear Instagram: Why are you so addicting? I spend hours on there. PS: If you are not following me on there, you better change that. @jdspencers

Dear Readers: Have a great weekend!

Would You Rather Wednesday

Hello Lovlies!

It’s Wednesday which means Would You Rather!

For those of you that are new, let me explain to you this game.

Each week we are given a series of questions. The questions are either/or type questions. You need to pick which one you would rather.

Simple huh?

This Week’s Questions:

Would you rather…

… only be able to talk in a whisper or have to shout everything?

… be a dog or a cat?

… have all the money you want but no friends or be poor but have friends?

… be able to fly or read minds?

My Answers:

I would rather only be able to talk in a whisper. It would be less annoying to be quiet then trying to yell all the time.

I would rather be a dog. Dogs are so much fun to have around.

I would rather be poor but have friends. What fun is all the money, if you have no one to enjoy it with.

I would rather be able to fly. It would be a lot easier to get around.

Next Week’s Questions:

Would you rather go on vacation any where in the world for on week or spend 24 hours with anyone in the world but be unable to leave your house during that time?

Would you rather be unable to see for one day or unable to use your phone for one month?

Would you rather be a giant hamster or a tiny rhino?

Until Next Time,

Jennifer

Weekly Wishes #8

Hello Lovelies!

Happy Monday!

The weekend is over and get back to the daily grind.

My weekend was pretty eventful.

Also,

(Random Google Search)

Now it’s time for another addition of weekly wishes.

Weekly Wishes is a place for hopes/dreams/goals/ideas for the upcoming week.

This week’s Wishes:

{One}

Organize /Purge all my jewelry and accessories: I have a ton of jewelry that I’ve accumulated over the years. Most of it I don’t wear so they are stuffed in a box. The boxes are collecting dust and taking up space in my closet. It’s time to go through everything and get rid of what I don’t need/want.

{Two}

Get a new pair of (nice) sunglasses: Ever since I starched my cornea, my eyes have been very sensitive to light. I tend to buy the cheapo sunglasses from Target but they are doing nothing for me. They are actually making it harder for my eyes. I need to get a better pair especially since the weather is getting nicer.

{Three}

Cut back on energy drinks: I’ve cut my soda intake down by a huge chunk. The thing is that I probably just replaced it with energy drinks. I really want to cut back on them.

Last Week’s Wishes:

Go for one walk with the dog: Instead of a walk, I took her to the park twice. That’s the same right?

Work on the décor for the Bridal Shower: I got very little done with this.

Write two book review posts: I wrote them but haven’t published them yet. They will come.

Friday Letters

Dear Friday: Thank you for being here. This week has been long and rough so you are very much appreciated.

Dear Sounders: I’m so excited to attend my first game of the season. The atmosphere, the goals, the players, the passion. I look forward to it every year.

Dear Sister: You are awesome. I’m so excited for Professional Bull Riding (PBR) on Sunday.

Dear Kamikaze Bird: Thank you so much for flying in the transmitter so that work lost power. At least you waited until I was already off the elevator on the 23rd floor before you did it. Next time, please do it towards the end of the day so I can just go home.

Dear Samantha Dog: It’s only been a few days but you are sourly missed. You were a great dog.

Dear Readers: Have a great weekend!

Until Next Time,

Jennifer

Would You Rather Weds

Hello lovelies!

Sorry for being a day late but we put our family dog down yesterday and I wasn’t in the right mindset to write.

It’s Weds (well Thursday) which means Would You Rather?

For those of you that are new, let me explain to you this game.

Each week we are given a series of questions. The questions are either/or type questions. You need to pick which one you would rather.

Simple huh?

This Week’s Questions:

Would you rather…

…Hang out at the Central Perk (Friends Coffeehouse) or MacLaren’s Pub (How I Met Your Mother)?

…Be on American Idol or The Voice?

…Solve crimes with Bones & Booth (Bones) or with the CSI team?

My Answers:

I would rather hang out at MacLaren’s Pub. It looks like there is always something exciting going on.

I would rather be on the Voice. The concept behind the Voice is intriguing. Judges base their choices on your voice and not how you look. Besides, I like the Voice judges way better.

I would rather solve crimes with the CSI team. They always have the latest gadgets.

Next Week’s Questions:

Would you rather…

… only be able to talk in a whisper or have to shout everything?

… be a dog or a cat?

… have all the money you want but no friends or be poor but have friends?

… be able to fly or read minds?

Have a great day!
