52 Books in 52 Week?

Hello Loves!

Back in January I stated that one of my goals for the year was to read 52 books in the year. That would equal 52 books in 52 weeks.

According to good reads I’m two books ahead of where I should be.

Here is the list of books I’ve read so far as well as format:

My Story by Elizabeth Smart (Audible)

Switched by Cassie Mae (E-book)

The F*** It List by Julie Halpern (E-book)

Spelling It Like It Is (Audible)

Jet by Jay Crownover (E-book)

Rome by Jay Crownover (E-Book)

Splintered by A.G. Howard (Audible)

I Heart New York by Lindsey Kelk (E-Book)

Something Real by Heather Demetrios (E-book)

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E Smith (E-Book)

Unhinged by A.G. Howard (Audible)

The Promise of Amazing by Robin Constantine (E-Book)

Rebel by Elle Casey (E-Book)

Deep Thoughts from a Hollywood Blonde by Jennie Garth (Audible)

The Women of Duck Commander: Surprising Insights from the Women behind the Beards about what makes family work by Robertson Women (E-Book)

Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy (E-Book)

The Thousand- Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas (Audible)

Dirty Daddy by Bob Saget (Audible)

I don’t know what you know me from: Confessions of a co-star by Judy Greer (Audible)

As you can tell I’m making a dent into my 52 books in a year.

Head over to Good Reads and check them out.

What would you recommend I read next?

Hello Loves!

How was your weekend?

Mine was nice. Saturday we were so busy that I blinked and the day was already over. That’s ok because Sunday, we didn’t do anything. It was a balanced weekend.

This Week’s Wishes:

Get Beyoncé tickets: She is coming to Seattle. I am going to get tickets. This is not a show I want to miss.

Work on my MOH speech: My best friend’s wedding is fast approaching and I’ve been zero on my speech. If I don’t do it now, it will never get done in time and then it will be a lame speech. No one wants a lame speech that sounds like she doesn’t care about the bride.

Go through my purse: I am a purse hoarder. I have a slight obsession with them.  I have a ton of old purses that I don’t need anymore. I’m going to sell them either in stores or on my blog. Any thoughts on how to do that would be great.

Last Week’s Wishes:

Go to bed by 10pm every night: Check. This was a lot easier then I thought it was going to be.

Make dinner at least once: Check again!

Spring Clean my closet: Half check. I did put all my clothes in a pile to go through.

What are your wishes for the week?

Friday Letters

Dear iPhone: Why are you sucking so bad? I would like my battery to last me longer then 4 hours. No matter what I do, you still run of out of juice.

Dear Rain: It is time for you to go away and come back in a few months. I have all these cute sunglasses I want to wear. I look pretty silly wearing them when there is no sun.

Dear Sounders: It’s time for you to win at home. I know that you can win games on the road. Really you have 40,000 people cheering you on; it’s time for you to give them what they want. A win.

Dear Fault in Our Stars: I’ve already read you once but for some reason I feel like I need to read you again. I’ve been listening to you on my way to work. At least you are making the drive a little bit better.

Dear Grace Adele: I’m excited to start my new adventures with you. Jewelry and purses are two things I know about. (More on this later).

Dear J&K: I’m so excited to see you this weekend. It has been way too long. I need to hear about Disneyworld since I live my life carelessly through you.

Dear Everyone: Happy Friday! Enjoy the weekend!

Hello loves!

I love coming home to package waiting for me. Yesterday was no different.

I recentaly signed up for this swap through Kimberly’s Chronicle and Lush to Blush called “Love in a Box.”

You should really check it out.

Each month you are paired up with someone different. It is a great way to meet new friends.

Displaying photo.JPGThis month I got paired up with Courtney from As We Stumble Along.

She sent me so amazing stuff.

I can’t wait to read all about the stars and signs. I’ve always wanted to learn more about them and this book will be great.

The thing I am most excited about is the Snow Angel stuff from Lush. I was so sad when I ran out. It smells amazing.

She sent me some headphones! I don’t know about you but I tend to lose my headphones all the time so it’s nice to have spares.

Thank you so much Courtney!

Weekly Wishes #11

The Nectar CollectiveLinking up with Melyssa

Hello loves!

Happy Monday!

After my crazy busy weekend, I’m actually glad that Monday is finally here. It gives me a chance to relax.

Between hosting both a bridal shower and easter, I’m all partied out.

Weekly Wishes is where I talk about my wishes, hopes, dreams, etc for the upcoming week.

This Week’s Wishes

Go to bed by 10pm every night: I’ve been getting into a really bad habit of going to bed super late (like 12/1am) and getting up early (6am). I’ve learned that if I get to bed by 10PM, I get the most amount of rest to be a fully functioning member of society.

Make dinner at least once: Now that my husband beats me home, he’s been making dinner. Even though I can’t really cook, I do enjoy making dinner. Hopefully one night this week, he will let me.

Spring Clean my closet: It’s getting pretty out of hand. It’s time to clean everything out.

Last Week’s Wishes

Get the house ready for BFF’s bridal shower: Everything was ready and looking super cute by 11 am on Saturday. Success!

Read one book: Techinally, I didn’t actually read it but I did finish Dirty Dad by Bob Saget on audible. Check.

Not get sick: Check! Everyone at my office was getting sick, so I was worried there. I made it through the week without getting it! Major success.

What are some of your wishes?

– Jennifer

Friday Letters

Hello Loves!

Dear Friday: Thank you for coming this week. For a moment I didn’t think you were ever going to come. You even came with sun.

Dear Husband: Thank you so much for having today off. It’s a big help getting the house ready for the bridal showers.

Dear KF: I’m super excited for our lunch date! It has been too long since we have seen each other.

Dear 21 day fix: You are making way too sore but I love it. This new lifestyle will be great.

Dear CB: I am excited (yet stressed) for your bridal shower this weekend. However, I’m way more excited for your wedding. You are going to make a beautiful bride.

Dear Everyone: Have a great weekend!

Hello loves!

Happy Monday!

Hard to believe that we are already halfway done with April. It seems like just yesterday, 2014 was starting.

How was everyone’s weekend?

Mine was uneventful. Minus the fact that we actually got sun.

Taxes are due April 15th which equals my husband is finally home at a decent hour! I can’t wait.

Weekly Wishes is a place for hopes/dreams/goals/ideas for the upcoming week.

Now on to this week’s wishes!

Get the house ready for BFF’s bridal shower: My best friend of 18+ years is getting married in May. This weekend her sister and I are throwing her a tea party bridal shower. Since we are doing it at my house (way cheaper) I need to deep clean the house. Luckily, my amazing husband has the day off Friday!

Read one book: I’ve been on a major reading kick lately. I seem to be reading book after book after book. I want to finished one more book this week before it gets too nice to be inside reading all day.

Not get sick: I can’t afford to get sick. Everyone around me is getting sick. I’m about ready to quarantine myself in my house/office so that I don’t get sick.

Have a great week everyone!

Sunday Social

Sunday Social

Hello loves!

Did you miss me?

I’m back from my hiatus.

I learned from my couple weeks off how much I enjoy writing this little blog. I’ve had time to reflect and get my life figured out.

I figured what a better way to kick off this new me then with a little Sunday Social hosted Neely and Ashley.

This week is all about the best.

1.What was your best birthday?

My birthday is in August, which may not seem so bad. But in school I never got to have the special day like all of my friends did. The best birthdays were when I got to celebrate with my friends.

 2. What was your best vacation?

A couple of years ago my brother-in-law graduated from college in Arizona. As a trip my husband, mother-in-law, his grandparents, my brother-in-law and I did a road trip around the Grand Canyon area. We started at the Grand Canyon and ended up in Vegas. It was so much fun. We saw Zion and Bryce. Every day we hiked. It was a blast getting to shared the memories with his grandparents as well. That was one of my best vacations.

3. Best date you’ve ever been on?

As cheesy as this is going to sound the best dates are the ones with my husband. Especially when we are home watching movies. If I had to pick one, it would be our first date. Jack-in-the-box and talking in the car.

 4. Best Movie(quality) you’ve seen?

This is a tough question.

5. Best TV show ending of all time?

Friends. I’m still sad that the show ended but it was still a good ending. She got off the plane!
